HEB selected Griffco Design / Build to provide design / build services on its recent produce warehouse expansion project. The project included a new 17,000 SF 34°F produce area, new 23,000 SF 55°F produce area, 2,100 SF procurement office expansion and 1,200 SF engine room expansion for a total of 43,300 SF of new construction.

The warehouse design included shrink compensating concrete slabs, 72 mil Sarnifil PVC roof, wet ESFR sprinkler in 55°F area and dry system in 34°F area.

Refrigeration system include penthouses in both temperature areas and expansion to engine room with new 350 HP FES screw compressor and new evaporative condenser. New G-Force control panel with extensive controls upgrades were also included.

Office expansion included remodel of existing kitchen / sampling room and addition of new offices and conference room.
