Griffco is providing turnkey planning, design and construction services on the new state-of-the-art Sound Stage located on EUE/Screen Gems Studio’s 32-acre film and television production campus in Atlanta, GA. This is Griffco’s 5th project for EUE/ Screen Gems Studios, a film and TV series studio and sound stage provider for the film industry.
The latest addition, Stage 6, is a 30,000 SF Sound Stage that will be divided for two productions. It will allow Screen Gems to host as many as seven different productions at one time or very large productions that need multiple buildings and stages.
Stage #6 offers clear-span of 150’ x 200’ with 40’ clear to the steel grid. The walls are built with 4 layers of 5/8” gypsum and sound blankets. The ceiling has a special accoustical tile ceiling for further soundproofing.
The building has electrical services with disconnects at four corners of the building to allow for flexibility when working with film production companies. Air conditioning is provided with ductwork designed to accommodate additional portable HVAC brought in on skids.
